I hope you don't mind

Facts:

- it's 9.21 p.m.

- 48°F / 8,8°C

And I'll start of how I did the last few times: It gets freaking cold here!
I never thought I'll need my warm germany jacket I was wearing in the past winter, but I do wear it now. So it is really cold. In the morning we have frost on top of the roofs, too.
So believe me, it is cold.

Last time I posted s.t. is a while ago and a lot stuff happend (would be boring if not, wouldn't it?).
I had my first thanksgiving.
And it is like in the movies. It's all about food. We basically ate all day. Idk how other exchange students expierenced their thanksgiving, but in texas it's just a chance to gain weight by eating a lot of food (and turkey, of course).
So at first we went to my grandma (daddy's), and all my cousins were there and we had a little pre-thanksgiving. Sydney got her braces a day before, so all she ate was oatmeal and she tried to eat chilli (never attend s.o who just got braces, if you can't see people chew with an open mouth without freaking out [I was freaking out in my head. :D]. ).
I had a lots of fun with all my cousins, and inthe next morning we left to go to my mom's grandma.
They live like you expect a texan to live. They have a huge "yard" and a house like you think a house in texas will look like.
so as I woke up on November  the 24th I heard my grandma, a friend of her, and my mom in the kitchen getting the turkey ready.
I ate a bagel (first american bagel. A hot raisin, cinnamon bagel with a little bit butter. yummy) and got dressed. We started eating around lunch time...

...and finished the left overs 3 days later. ;D
I felt like I had a food baby in my stomach, and Jordy, Syd, and me felt so guilty and decided to run, and burn some calories.
It helped, I felt much better after it: ;D
But I still like thanksgiving, even if you just feel like a lil fatty, cause all you did was eating.
We stayed till saturday at her house, and my grandma has the evilest dog alife. It's a little chihuahua, called "Tinzel", and she's such a little b*tch, I swear. She layed down on the couch one evening, and Avery moved her arm, and this devil-dog freaked out and bit Avery.
I don't like this dog, she's bi-polar, and grandma treat her like a queen.

Well after we left we went to the football game (first playoff game :)) Lp vs. Katy and we won.
Jordy stayed the whole thanksgiving break (a whole week, thank God, I really needed that break.) and we had so much fun.

and we went to the movies and Jordy, Syd, and me saw breaking dawn (it actually isn't that bad I thought it will be, but the books are still better. So read them before the movies steal all your ideas how the twilight world looks like.) and Jordy already saw the movie. Alright I've to tell you this story, she saw it with some of her college friends, and this one guy, Michael, said following:

Whenever Michael is in a bad mood he goes to Mc's and eats this 12 pack nuggets, because it puts him in a really good mood.
Jordy, two of her friends and Michael are sitting in the movies, and Bella is about to die, cause she just got her baby and it kinda killed her. It's like the most emotional moment in the whole movie and everybody holds its breathe, because noone wants her to die.
Michael leans over to Jordy and says: I think she needs a nugget.
And Jordy bust out laughing, and everybody looks at her like: How can you laugh in this moment?

I think it's hilarious.
So I had a lot of fun thanksgiving break, and it just got better after, because the monday after thanksgiving break we had soccer tryouts for 3 days, and everyone who talked to me in the last 2 weeks already know that I made the JV team (yaaay). But I was so scared before every cut, cause Jordan and German cut the first people on tuesday, and than the last cut was wednesday after tryouts, and I was so scared to don't make it. Because I didn't know whatelse to do.
But I made it in the JV team ( Varsity comes over Junior Varsity, in Varsity are all the really good players, who most likely get a scholar ship for a college cause of soccer. And in JV are people who are good, but not as amazing as the Varsity members are. Well i made JV, and never played before. So I'm proud. :) ).
Now I've practice every day after school till 5:00. But I like my team, and I think this season will be so much fun, even if it's freaking col outside, and we're in texas so we play outside.

A week or two ago we good a german shepperd puppy. His name is beau, he's really cute, but the first days were hell.
Because he sleeps in Syd's and my room, and he cried the WHOLE night, and it wasn't a sweet cry it was very annoying.
But we figured out to play with him before we go to bed, and put a blanket over his thing where he sleeps in.
Well now we've fatty Callie, crazy Max, and little beau (who will get big very fast. Me and Syd went to see him since he was 3 days old. And he already grew so much).

Well I think that's all.
Jordy, mom, and my birthday party is this saturday (Isn't it bad luck if you celebrate your birthday too early? I always thought so, but Syd said she hasn't heard about that her whole life. ...)
I hope yall are doing good, and miss me a bit. (My hair finally starts growing ;) )

it will stay forever

Facts:

- it's 8.30 p.m.

- 71°F / 21,6°C

How you can see, it isn't that hot anymore. But we actually had good weather today, except for the rain (haha). Yes, we got rain again. I don't know what is wrong with texas, because it usually rains like...5 times a year. And that would be a good year. Since I am here it rains almost every 2 weeks.
I bought some german weather with me. :D
But in texas they like rain.

- I still don't

That's maybe a german thing I'll keep forever.

It happens a lot since my last post.
I'm out of dance and in soccer and history AP now. I don't really miss dance, it was a class I didn't hate, but I didn't enjoy being there.
Soccer is good!
I love being in soccer 7th period (there is just 7th period soccer, but whatever. :D). And my new history class is good, too.
It's getting a bit closer to german school, like how the teacher teach it and how we learn it. I'm happy I did this change.
But let's go back to some dance pictures (haha, not really, more pictures we took in dance. It was the Lp against Deer Park game and Halloween socks)

I don't have dirt in my face, it's a paw

My socks are the longest, orange/black striped. Left to the cat ones
And I finally picked up my homecoming pictures.
I'll tell you what I told everyone else:
My finger look like saucages and I look like a lich.

But my pretty sister and her boyfriend look like vampires, too. :D
But I denfinetly like that picture!- cuteee
And I've another old picture for you.
It was taken in yearbook, for the yearbook (makes sense?) and  I like how I teached Marina the german-bitch-pose.
And they/she love/s it. It's like...I don't know. It makes me laugh everytime someone is doing that when I'm in the room. It's so sweet.
I like my american friends. They all are so sweet and nice to me.

Brandon (the guy standing, with grey shoes) is in my 4th period history class and yearbook, and some days ago he asked me a bunch of questions about germany.
But he asked me this questions I'd ask, too.
Like how we learn about the german history, especially the "Nazi-time" and what happend. And he asked that so...careful. Most of my friends here are really careful about our past, when they want to know something. And I'm glad they ask me, and want to learn about it.
It just happened one time, that someone made fun of the Holocaust.
I was scared to be here and not be able to explain stuff about that to them.
but I can. :-)

I've to talk about soccer now, because I wanna tell you something, but you need some backround to understand. And I love talking about soccer anyways. :D
So my coaches (2 women) last names are Jordan and German (yeah, her name is german. :D) and they are together. Like they're dating.
However, in america you say "coach german" or "coach Jordan" when you wanna talk to them. If you've them in maths (they're teaching that, too) you call them "coach german", too.
And they call me germany, because we've a Mayra in our team and Mara sounds like Mayra in america. So they call me germany, and this one girl sat beside me, and I talked to coach german. Germand said that I'm so sweet and another girl was like: Yeah, I like her accent. I love listening to her, because it sounds so cool.
And this one girl goes like: Oh, you've an accent?
and me: Uhh, yeah?
she: can you talk, so I can hear your accent?
me: Sure, [and I talked]
she: what part are you from?
me: what part?
she: I mean, like what state?
me (laughing): I'm from germany! :D
she: Ohhh, thats why they call you germany.
me: Yeah. What did you thought why?
she: I thought, because you're like german, and so they call you "little german"=germany.
me: Haha.
Isn't that sweet? Someone finally thought I'm american. :-)

Now I wanna tell you about this past weekend. We went to Jeff's (the ranch), and Tyler came with us, because we wanted to go hunting.
(Syd says: Hunning. And one day Marina asked her: what is hunning? And Syd was like: Uh, the thing you shoot animals? And Marina goes like: Ohhh; HunTing! :D:D It was funny.)
I was kinda scared, because I didn't want to hunt, like shoot animals, but Jen told me Jordy didn't like it either, and just stayed at the ranch with her.
So my plan was: Staying at the ranch and have a good time with my mom. (We went to walmart, so I had a gooooood time. I love walmart)
Saturday was the walmart day and I slept a lot, because I need sleep I missed during the school days. And saturday night Jordy came, and brought soem friends.
After a while Syd had the idea to go to the field with the kabotas and shoot some cans, and we all went there. It was already dark and so we had to use the light of the Kabotas to see the cans.
Tyler bought his dad's gun and they shot some cans. Than Syd asked me if I wanna shoot, and I said no, because I never did before and I didn't want to hurt someone or do something stupid with a gun in my hands.
But she said she'll teach and help me, so I finally said yes.
And she does.
After I focused this dr.pepper can I shot and I hit it! ;D
Michael had the idea to shot glass bottles and he placed one on a wooden manger, like a football field away from us. Most of us couldn't see it, because it was dark and the light didn't reached that far. But I could, so I shot first.
My arm was shaking and Michael gave his jacket to put the gun on it.
And after like...10000min. focusing this bottle I shot and....surprise...hit it. :D
I shot it into 2 pieces and kept the top one.
They were like freaking out and told me I'm a freaking beast and beat them all. :D

The next day Syd wanted to teach me how to drive a Kabota and so Tyler, Syd and me sat into one. I messed it up the first minute, because I hadn't a feeling for the gas.
Like how much you've to push aso. But it turned out good, and I was driving pretty good for the first time in the forest! :D
Except for the one situation I drove and there was a huge hole and I decided to go to the right, so we won't hit it, but I didn't saw the huge stick on the ground and the Kabota was about to fall to one side. :D
I know, thats not funny, but it was in this moment and it didn't fall.
Tyler drove after me and there came this huge, poissoness spider on our windshield and Syd jumped on my lab and out of the kabota. I was screaming and Tyler finally killed it. :D
But like...10 min. later a second one was inside the windshield and I jumped out of the Kabota, fell down, lying on my belly, with the head down.
Syd jumped out through the back, it looked like she's superman.
And she laughed about my fall the whole time (she's still laughing, when I remember her. :D)
So, it was a great weekend and I'm excited for the next time. :-)

this picture wasn't taken at Jeff's.

My last thing, before I'll go to bed is:
In..3 days is weekend and Thanksgiving break!
YES!
We've a whole week off. :-) I'm so excited. And I think we'll go to Jeff's and see Jordy.
I hope yall are doing great and enjoy life like I do (haha, no one can enjoy life like I do, because I love my life right now [even if I've so much homework and not enough sleep. :D].)

No one can make me feel so good.

Facts:

- it's 3.37 p.m.
- 67°F / 19°C

It's getting really cold this week, how you can see. It's the freaking cold front.
But this weather maybe prepares me for the german winter, next year. Weird, what I'm afraid of. ;D
I'm so sorry for all my reader, who had to wait for some news.
Let's go back to the start.

Jordy Coe was the past weekend here and it was so good to spend time with her again. She's such a good person. We didn't see her for a month and so Sydney was really touched as she walked in the house.
Jordy made some cupcakes (for me. Jk, but I think I ate the most. ;D).
They were delicious!

We had a lot of fun this past weekend. Sydney, Jordy and me went to walmart, to buy all the stuff for her cupcakes and Syd and me were to Ellen's halloween party invited and we didn't really knew as what we want to dress up.
So we messed a bit.

Jordy told us we look really pretty.
But we decided to be 80's girls.
We met a lot of people at the and Syd and me were really sad as we left the party early, because of her softball game next morning.
Did I already told you that 1/5 of my time here is over? The time went by so fast, but Syd and me decided that I gonna take the citizenship test in my last months, so I can come and stay how often and long I want. I talked to my mom about it and this little, kinda crazy idea gets real.
Of course do I've to make some researches and if it's possible for me as a 16year old (or 17) without any income. But we'll see and I'll tell you next time.
(I hope I'll make it earlier this time.)

What else can I tell you?
Right, I'm going to mexico in january for 4 days with Sydney and some other exchange students and parents. We are so excited. It's four days and we'll be without our family (with other girls and a mom in a cabine, but whatever. ;) ) and with a lot of friends.

Back to the halloween party, it was a lot of fun. I met Ben again and some other german exchange students and I really like texas. :D

I look kinda weird, but idc, because I've the time of my life here. :)
Let's talk a bit about school.
I really like my school and the people. Even if I've tons of homework, but I think/hope this will prepare me for germany, because I really start to leran and do homework.
I never really did anything for school in germany, because I don't really needed to, but I think the next year will gonna be hard enough for me, so maybe this will help me.
Oh and I try to play soccer in my 7th period. I hope I can do it and the coach let me come into her period. Gosh, that would be awesome.
So press your thumbs for me. ;-)

I saw Sydney play ball the last week (btw, she's really good!) and I really enjoy to go to her games and see her play. And I can concentrate soo goood. I use to do my homework during her games and it turns out really good.
Jordy and me at Syd's softball game.

This was her 2nd game. We both look kinda retarded and the sun shines in our faces, but whatever. :D
So, Sydney and me decided to work out every day, because we go on this cruise to mexico and we've to be in perfect shape (ehhhhm. I'm definitely NOT in a good shape. And I gained some weight. :/ But I'm about to lose all this before january.).
Hey, I could tell you my work out, but I think that is kinda boring, but I'm so proud of myself that I learned how to run. I mean that I'm disciplined enough to run.
I wasn't in germany.
Now I'm able to run 2 straight miles, ride the bike for 5 miles (that the way to Bechtsbüttel. I mean I've to stay in shape, because when I come back I've to ride the bike for 5 miles one way. ;D), run another mile, do excercies for my arms, stomach and all the stuff and at last I go in a seperate room and strech a bit and do some ballet, to stay in shape. ;)
Yeah, and I hope that if I do that every day I'll lose all the mexican/texas food and be able to run 3 miles, than 4 aso.
We'll see. I mean, you'll hear. I'll probably be so proud of myself that I blog an extra post. :D
I'm just kidding. But I'll tell you.

Syd's and my eyes look at the 2nd picture exactly the same. :) (Because we're alike. ;D)
Yeah, these pictures are before and after our work out.

Last weekend Syd and me carved a pumpkin and I asked what the different between a pumpkin and a squash is. I mean you call the orange one pumpkin, but what's the difference? I don't really know, and Sydney either.
It turned out soo cute. From now the pumpkin is in our front yard and we can see him every morning and afternoon. ;D He's really cute :)
Halloween is really big in america, everyone is looking for a cute costume and buy candy and go to honored house (It's scary, and Syd is too scared for it. It's like house, you go in and there are artist in a scary costume and they follow you around.).
Honored house is really cool. I mean it sounds cool, Marina told me there is one in Houston and if you stay all the 16 stories you get your money back, but no one did it. For example in one storie are snakes all over the floor and they took their theeth out, so they can't kill you, because they've really bad poison in their theeth. And you've to go through, but they still "bite" you aso.
It's scary and crazy. But that's america.
In germany they probably won't even get a license. :D

(check out: sugarland - stuck like glue)
Texas is still awesome. :)

take your life from negative to positive

Facts:

- it's 6.51 p.m.
- 82.0°F / 27.2°C

I think it's time to write a little up date (ok, everyone knows that this won't be short, but whatever. ;D)
At first I wanna show you my new teen-language (LOL [see, I get american] )
So, here we go:

- jk (just kidding)
- tbh (to be honest)
- idk (I don't know)
- idc (I don't care)
- yall (you all [it's a texas-thing] )
- qt (quiet)
- btw (by the way)
- lmfao ( laughing my f***ing ass off [can be without "f"] )

Yeah,
so I start learning acronyms. :D Today a dude in my french class told me I sound american now. :) Isn't that awesome? And after his statement the kids around me agreed.
I'm sooo proud.

Haaa, some much time and homecoming went by, since my last post.
I finally met the french guy "Paul", because we had an interview
(You know what comes in my mind: Kaitlyn told me, that german kids can't say what with a "w", it ever sounds like a "v" and she's right. We speak our "w" like a "v". I've never realized that. So, and since this day we ever say vhaaat in the beginning of maths [we've maths together]. Yeah, that make my day ;D )
okay, back to my actual story:
I met the french guy, because we had an interview, for the Lp newspaper, together. Yeah, and it's true:
french guys are famous! Dude, you won't believe me what I tell you now:
We went to the newspaper class
(oh yeah, we've a class for this. And you spend the whole class to write [or not, in this case ;D] the newspaper. Pretty nice class.)
together and we met a group of girls on the way.
Now guess which name the crowd yelled?
Oh yes, it was Paul's.
They love his accent. I mean, it's cute, but wooow. He is famous.
Yeah, so we finally met and on friday ( homecoming game [we won] ) I saw him again and he came to me and we talked and he didn't go to homecoming, because he had no date.
I was a bit depressed, because I was thinking about to ask him, because it would be kinda funny if the two exchange students go together to homecoming.
But I think we are kinda friends now. :)

I showed her and now it's a joke between us ;D

This was before / during the homecoming game.
On the last picture you can see Marina and Brandon. Both are soooo nice and I really like them, they are in my yearbook class.
And we ( + Gabby ) have so much fun in this class and during lunch. ;D
Oh, s.t. cross my mind ( look it up at leo.org ;D any day I'll be smart enough to know this stuff. LOL ) Gabby and Marina asked me aome time ago if and what I learned here, like english.
And I really have to say that I learned a lot of stuff ( like stuff. ;) you say stuff instead shit. :D ) and, how the guy in my french class told me: I start sounding like an american. ;)

Pretty face (just saying :D)

This was during yearbook (yes, we are bored sometimes :D ).
Okay, so now I gonna show you some homecoming pictures, but it's a bad quality, because the main computer isn't working and so we can't upload the pictures from the deluxe (sorry, I've to say this to check if Linh is reading my blog ;D) camera and so you just see some phone pictures. ;)

and I think the (til now) most pretty picture is this:

Osiris (she's in my dance class and such a nice person!) and me
Yeah, Osiris is in my dance class and she is so nice. She told me, if I don't go to prom (like, if the school don't invite me, because I'm a junior) than she'll take me, because I have to be there.
And she wanna write me letters, when I'm back in germany (this will hopefully take some time). Isn't that sweet?

So, homecoming was ok, a bit awkward, because some girls should better stopped dancing (it was kinda ... like a whore, but a oversized...). But whatever, it was a good experience.

What else can I tell you? I really like my school, I know some more people and almost everybody is nice to me. :)
Haha, I've to tell you something. Some days ago Mr. Shoppe, our principal (he make the announcements everyday in 3rd period) was making his announcement and after the main stuff and honor american / texas flag (oh yes, everyday!) and the moment of silence (like a "Schweigeminute") he said some really funny stuff.
Ok, are you ready for his announcement?
"Goooooooooooooooood morning LaPorte highschool, please rise and honor the flag [...] and now the texas flag [...] and now a moment of silence [...].
Thank you!
So, today, october the 5th is (bla, bla, bla). And I also wanna say that some students are kissing in the hallways and I can't respect this. Imagine a visitor comes into our school and has to see that. What can he think about our school?
So please understand that kissing in the hallways aren't allowed and our security will stop this. Thank you all students. [...]"
Exactly, this is ridiculous. But whatever. :D
I can laugh about this.

Yes, Steven loves school, too. ;)

It's all about you (and what you make out of it)

Facts:

- it's 8.37 p.m.
- 84°F / 28,8°C

So, we've good weather. Today I was running with Sydney ( 2 miles in the sun! Omg, thats a way harder than in the ac (aircondition) rec :D:D ). But it felt so good.
Ok, I'll tell you some more about the spirit week, how I promised. And I hope you've a lot of time, because I've so much to tell.

Spirit week: awesome!
I mean I could never imagine how this will be, because in relation with german schools is it....incredible. Monday was cowboy monday and Sydney and me dressed up ( omg, my boots were so ugly ;D )

and my hair was making me really mad this day. :D
-whatever
It was a great experience, because almost the whole school was dressed up. Tuesday was twin-day and Syd and me wanted to make some cute shirts, so Mayra, Sydney and me went shopping.
And at walmart ( I love this place ) I've got the idea:

In the back was the facebook thumb and we wrote "Like us". We got a lot of compliments.
And we had so much fun monday after school, it was nice to hang out with Mayra and she's playing soccer, so I asked her some questions about the training a.s.o.
It was a really good afternoon.

And the best outfit was on wednesday : Nerd day :D
I saw so many good outfits ( I'm sorry, I can't show you the yearbook pictures, because I can't download them -.-).

Thursday was 70's for the juniors, but I didn't dressed up, I just wore the hair-band you can see at the first nerd picture ( we were messing around in the night ;D ).
And the friday will ever be in my mind. I mean, WOW. It was awesome.
The whole school was in different subjects designed, and I was impressed. And the official started playing music in the hallways. It was a great feeling to be in his school.
I mean everyone was dressed for deer hunting (because we were playing against deer park and this is our biggest concurent and thats why we had the spirit week. So all were dressed up for hunting with orange, black and yellow elements.).
It was amazing.

pep rally

This was after the little video, because the game against deer park got enough votes to make it in the TV. So we saw the "preview" :D
I don't know if you can see it on the LaPorte webside (and the "L" we make with our fingers [like in germany for loser] stands here for Lp, our school. I like it), because it's awesome how popular football is here. All this stuff was "just" for a football game.

The game was awesome!
As Jordy came home on friday we went to the game and it was...wow. We were screaming the whole time and in the end we won in the overtime.
It was a great game.

After the game I went with Sydney and two other grils to my first american houseparty and let me say this: It was good!
In the early saturday morning my whole family went to Jordys college and there I saw my first college game, it was good, but the Lp game was better ;)

And we were on the ranch again and Sydney told me we'll be almost every weekend, if the hunting season starts. I'm really excited, because I love it there.

So, I saw a lot this past week/-end. And I'm so happy to be here.
I really wanna say this, because I know that I've a lot of luck with everything.
I mean my family is such a great family, texas is awesome and my school is full of spirit and nice people and I know that this isn't naturally and I'm very thankful.
