she's all happy about it

Facts:

- it's 4.23 p.m.

- 72°F / 22°C

I'm back from my cruise to Mexico/Cozumel and it was AWESOME. (Just saying)
Syd and me had so much fun and I think we got a little tanned, even if it rained all day long in Mexico. Oh well, let me start with january the 6th.
That was the date I had my first soccer game, and I was so nervous. ;D
Isn't that cute?
I was so surprised that I started off w/ my girls, that I thought I just heard wrong and Coach Jordan said Monika instead of Mara. So when the game started I went back to the bench to sit down.
And Jordan goes like: Germany, aren't you paying attention?
Me: Well yes I do, but I thought you said Monika and not Mara.
Jordan: No, I called you, too. So go out there!
Me: Where do I play?
Jordan: Left midfield.
I was a bit scared, because I like to play defense better. And Jordan saw it, so she switched me with the left defender. And I think we played a good game, even if we lost 0-1.
And btw: I love the soccer girls. They are just so funny and always in a good mood, they make my time here so much better.

The quality is very bad, because Syd forgot her awesome camera at home and so I decided to show you 2 pictures. Who ever wants to see more can click on this link and look for the number 9 ;)

On the 7th I attended my first wedding reception and saw a "real bride", like someone I know. It was awesome, and the Bride (she's really young and married my cousin) looked so pretty.

Our pup grows a lot, btw. Yall remember the puppy we got in (I think) november, Beau? Well he has gotten SO tall. He's almost too heavy to carry down the stairs in the morning (because he needs to pee, and when we let him walk'em down he may pees on them :/ ).
I can't believe it, even if I always say it: Time flies!
For some and sometimes that is something good, because that means all the embarrassing, sad, worse moments fly by. But the awesomly good, wonderful, and almost perfect moments are as fast (if not faster) as the worse moments.
I mean christmas time is over, that means my year is halfway over, and I didn't even do a little of all the things I wanted to do. But at the same time I experienced so much, I couldn't ever imagine.

He looks so funny, though, because his one ear is standing up.

A whole bag of german chocolate I got over christmas time from my mom

I saw an awesome/crazy car. And most of you are about to say: That's how I always thought america is. And yall are right, but wrong at the same time.
America is like this, but america is totally different, too.
Wanna see what I'm talking about? Here we go.
A friends of us came over to show us his new truck.

Look at our truck (and our truck is a very big one) and Devans...

And the crazy thing about it is that this truck can be legally driven on a road, except for the back lights, they've to be a little bit lower. Lol.

So, Syd and me decided to take pictures with Marinas phone while she was drawing something cute for the back of my binder, because I always hated the back of my binder.
The front looked always cute, and the back was just lame. And so I cut out some stuff to put it in there and forced Marina to draw something, and Syd signed the blue tape. ;)
Oh and btw; the Lp stands for La Porte and I got the stuff from Mrs. Ipsen, to keep me busy in APUSH. :D Jk, I did it beside listening to Mrs. Waligora. ;)
-Of course

nooo, my binder isn't big. :D

And Mayra and me had some fun with her iPad (it's white, and I'm sooo jelly. She has the probably prettiest backpack and a freaking nice, white iPad! And her brother got her new cleats for christmas. They look SO nice, I'm about to steal them :D jk) after soccer practice. We were all sweaty, but oh well ;D.

And today I came back from the awesome 5 days cruise to Mexico. We had so much fun...I don't even know how to describe it, but it was awesome.
And most of the pictures we took are just so..stupid that yall couldn't be serious around me anymore. :D (Don't know if I know someone who is serious around me)
But they are pretty bad.
Real talk, though (How Arne would say it).
Syd and me gained a lot of insiders ;D
So here are some pictures yall can see without making fun of me for the rest of our lifes.

Well we had lots of fun, and I bet I won't forget this trip. :)
How one of my friends said:

I'm just scared to forget all this!

And I am, too. But guys, lets just don't worry about what we could forget without wanting to, and create memories we won't forget.

Everyone dies, but not everyone lives.

Facts:

- it's 3.10 a.m.

- 39°F / 4°C

It's been a long time.
I'm not just talking about my last update, I also talk about my life here.
How you can, most likely, imagine a lot stuff was/ is going on.

I had Jordy, mommy, and my birthday party ( a weekend too early, but no one would believe me that people in germany say its bad luck. ) and we had some fun.
I had an american birthday cake and I drove a car for the first time in my life.
I was pretty amazed, even if I'm probably the slowest-teenage-driver on earth, but I was excited.
Because my cousin Kyle came over and stayed the night, and he had to go to walmart (and everyone who reads this  blog from time to time knows I'm in love w/ this store) so I asked to go w/ him.
So Kyle, Avery, and me went to walmart in his VERY old car, and I kept asking if I can drive on the parking lot.
Well he wasn't amazed by my idea, because "no one drives his car." but I guess I'm just too sweet to say no (haha, jk. Probably just too annyoing) so he finally told me to get in the drivers seat.
It was already in our neighborhood, all I had to drive was straight, take a right, take a left, straight. A normal person needs like 1 min for that.
Well not me. :D
I took more han 5 min. but I had so much fun.

The next day we went to the YFU christmas party, and I saw some exchange students I already know again. And I met another girl, she is very nice. We talked for awhile and she told me she's in her 2nd hostfamily and isn't happy there. Her parents completly changed their attituted after she moved in, and she doesn't want to leave, because she is a bit scared.
That makes me to be thankful for everything I got and became.
This isn't the right place to talk about problems or worries, everyone of us have (and I believe that everyone has problems [big or small] because that is live and what we asked for), but I think I did pretty good.
And I won't leave my family for someone else. I think that is one of the best results you can make.

Syd and me are pretty excited for Mexico in some days. Yes, there are just days left. ;D
I will get SO tan that everyone thinks I'm a blonde mexican. Haha, no but I'll be so dark in january that they'll be jelly as hell.

So let's talk a bit about soccer. I love soccer, even if it hurts my shins so bad. But I had a whole week off (first week of christmas break) and I decided not to run and relax my shins. I just ran twice, and just 1 mile to stay ,at least a bit, in shape.
I did the bike and one day I pushed myself to ride 15 miles. I was proud. :D
Well back to soccer, the first couple days of practice felt awesome, I could run like I did when I first got here. And my legs didn't hurt at all.
Today they hurt a little bit, but it still feels so good to walk w/ this huge pain. So please guys, be smarter than me and don't increase your distance amount too fast! :)
On friday we've our first game and I'm excited if Jordan let me play. We'll see / play.
I love soccer and I've to say I'm a bit proud that I actually learn it. Like I remember the first few practices, and the difference now. And I enjoy to play, so I'm seriously thinking to play in germany.
But I've enough time to think about that later and I've to wait how school works out for me anyways.
So guys, keep in mind:
It's never too late. If you think about doing s.t. than stop thinking and go out in the world and try to make it real. You can always get back and stop, but you'll be dissapointed later when you realize you haven't even tried.
Haha, wisdom came to me. ;D

On christmas eve (24th) I attended the best church service. It was in the church if my mommys father and his wife. We had dinner w/ them, and went to their church before. The service impressed me so much. It was very similiar to a german church service, but the priest was so good.
I can't even describe why I like him so much.
Anyways, I decided to go more to church in germany, even if I think different about God and the world theory, but I feel good after church and how this priest said:
You don't have to believe anything, if you just heard a little bit you can identify yourself with then thats enough.

my cousins dec., 17th

ready for church and dinner

So, I promised to talk about why I do feel so much more american /texan than I did in the beginning.

- the car size is normal for me
- I don't stare on the road, because it looks so different
- I wear shorts and sweatpants
- the big trucks doesn't look amazing anymore
- I understand almost everyone
- palm tree's are normal
- I jamm w/ Syd and my family as loud as I can in the car

- I fall for peanutbutter w/ banana
- I use yall

that's how I'm about to fall asleep after soccer practice in the morning.

I hope yall had a good christmas and a good New Years Eve. I wish yall the best and spend time with the ones you love.

I hope you don't mind

Facts:

- it's 9.21 p.m.

- 48°F / 8,8°C

And I'll start of how I did the last few times: It gets freaking cold here!
I never thought I'll need my warm germany jacket I was wearing in the past winter, but I do wear it now. So it is really cold. In the morning we have frost on top of the roofs, too.
So believe me, it is cold.

Last time I posted s.t. is a while ago and a lot stuff happend (would be boring if not, wouldn't it?).
I had my first thanksgiving.
And it is like in the movies. It's all about food. We basically ate all day. Idk how other exchange students expierenced their thanksgiving, but in texas it's just a chance to gain weight by eating a lot of food (and turkey, of course).
So at first we went to my grandma (daddy's), and all my cousins were there and we had a little pre-thanksgiving. Sydney got her braces a day before, so all she ate was oatmeal and she tried to eat chilli (never attend s.o who just got braces, if you can't see people chew with an open mouth without freaking out [I was freaking out in my head. :D]. ).
I had a lots of fun with all my cousins, and inthe next morning we left to go to my mom's grandma.
They live like you expect a texan to live. They have a huge "yard" and a house like you think a house in texas will look like.
so as I woke up on November  the 24th I heard my grandma, a friend of her, and my mom in the kitchen getting the turkey ready.
I ate a bagel (first american bagel. A hot raisin, cinnamon bagel with a little bit butter. yummy) and got dressed. We started eating around lunch time...

...and finished the left overs 3 days later. ;D
I felt like I had a food baby in my stomach, and Jordy, Syd, and me felt so guilty and decided to run, and burn some calories.
It helped, I felt much better after it: ;D
But I still like thanksgiving, even if you just feel like a lil fatty, cause all you did was eating.
We stayed till saturday at her house, and my grandma has the evilest dog alife. It's a little chihuahua, called "Tinzel", and she's such a little b*tch, I swear. She layed down on the couch one evening, and Avery moved her arm, and this devil-dog freaked out and bit Avery.
I don't like this dog, she's bi-polar, and grandma treat her like a queen.

Well after we left we went to the football game (first playoff game :)) Lp vs. Katy and we won.
Jordy stayed the whole thanksgiving break (a whole week, thank God, I really needed that break.) and we had so much fun.

and we went to the movies and Jordy, Syd, and me saw breaking dawn (it actually isn't that bad I thought it will be, but the books are still better. So read them before the movies steal all your ideas how the twilight world looks like.) and Jordy already saw the movie. Alright I've to tell you this story, she saw it with some of her college friends, and this one guy, Michael, said following:

Whenever Michael is in a bad mood he goes to Mc's and eats this 12 pack nuggets, because it puts him in a really good mood.
Jordy, two of her friends and Michael are sitting in the movies, and Bella is about to die, cause she just got her baby and it kinda killed her. It's like the most emotional moment in the whole movie and everybody holds its breathe, because noone wants her to die.
Michael leans over to Jordy and says: I think she needs a nugget.
And Jordy bust out laughing, and everybody looks at her like: How can you laugh in this moment?

I think it's hilarious.
So I had a lot of fun thanksgiving break, and it just got better after, because the monday after thanksgiving break we had soccer tryouts for 3 days, and everyone who talked to me in the last 2 weeks already know that I made the JV team (yaaay). But I was so scared before every cut, cause Jordan and German cut the first people on tuesday, and than the last cut was wednesday after tryouts, and I was so scared to don't make it. Because I didn't know whatelse to do.
But I made it in the JV team ( Varsity comes over Junior Varsity, in Varsity are all the really good players, who most likely get a scholar ship for a college cause of soccer. And in JV are people who are good, but not as amazing as the Varsity members are. Well i made JV, and never played before. So I'm proud. :) ).
Now I've practice every day after school till 5:00. But I like my team, and I think this season will be so much fun, even if it's freaking col outside, and we're in texas so we play outside.

A week or two ago we good a german shepperd puppy. His name is beau, he's really cute, but the first days were hell.
Because he sleeps in Syd's and my room, and he cried the WHOLE night, and it wasn't a sweet cry it was very annoying.
But we figured out to play with him before we go to bed, and put a blanket over his thing where he sleeps in.
Well now we've fatty Callie, crazy Max, and little beau (who will get big very fast. Me and Syd went to see him since he was 3 days old. And he already grew so much).

Well I think that's all.
Jordy, mom, and my birthday party is this saturday (Isn't it bad luck if you celebrate your birthday too early? I always thought so, but Syd said she hasn't heard about that her whole life. ...)
I hope yall are doing good, and miss me a bit. (My hair finally starts growing ;) )

it will stay forever

Facts:

- it's 8.30 p.m.

- 71°F / 21,6°C

How you can see, it isn't that hot anymore. But we actually had good weather today, except for the rain (haha). Yes, we got rain again. I don't know what is wrong with texas, because it usually rains like...5 times a year. And that would be a good year. Since I am here it rains almost every 2 weeks.
I bought some german weather with me. :D
But in texas they like rain.

- I still don't

That's maybe a german thing I'll keep forever.

It happens a lot since my last post.
I'm out of dance and in soccer and history AP now. I don't really miss dance, it was a class I didn't hate, but I didn't enjoy being there.
Soccer is good!
I love being in soccer 7th period (there is just 7th period soccer, but whatever. :D). And my new history class is good, too.
It's getting a bit closer to german school, like how the teacher teach it and how we learn it. I'm happy I did this change.
But let's go back to some dance pictures (haha, not really, more pictures we took in dance. It was the Lp against Deer Park game and Halloween socks)

I don't have dirt in my face, it's a paw

My socks are the longest, orange/black striped. Left to the cat ones
And I finally picked up my homecoming pictures.
I'll tell you what I told everyone else:
My finger look like saucages and I look like a lich.

But my pretty sister and her boyfriend look like vampires, too. :D
But I denfinetly like that picture!- cuteee
And I've another old picture for you.
It was taken in yearbook, for the yearbook (makes sense?) and  I like how I teached Marina the german-bitch-pose.
And they/she love/s it. It's like...I don't know. It makes me laugh everytime someone is doing that when I'm in the room. It's so sweet.
I like my american friends. They all are so sweet and nice to me.

Brandon (the guy standing, with grey shoes) is in my 4th period history class and yearbook, and some days ago he asked me a bunch of questions about germany.
But he asked me this questions I'd ask, too.
Like how we learn about the german history, especially the "Nazi-time" and what happend. And he asked that so...careful. Most of my friends here are really careful about our past, when they want to know something. And I'm glad they ask me, and want to learn about it.
It just happened one time, that someone made fun of the Holocaust.
I was scared to be here and not be able to explain stuff about that to them.
but I can. :-)

I've to talk about soccer now, because I wanna tell you something, but you need some backround to understand. And I love talking about soccer anyways. :D
So my coaches (2 women) last names are Jordan and German (yeah, her name is german. :D) and they are together. Like they're dating.
However, in america you say "coach german" or "coach Jordan" when you wanna talk to them. If you've them in maths (they're teaching that, too) you call them "coach german", too.
And they call me germany, because we've a Mayra in our team and Mara sounds like Mayra in america. So they call me germany, and this one girl sat beside me, and I talked to coach german. Germand said that I'm so sweet and another girl was like: Yeah, I like her accent. I love listening to her, because it sounds so cool.
And this one girl goes like: Oh, you've an accent?
and me: Uhh, yeah?
she: can you talk, so I can hear your accent?
me: Sure, [and I talked]
she: what part are you from?
me: what part?
she: I mean, like what state?
me (laughing): I'm from germany! :D
she: Ohhh, thats why they call you germany.
me: Yeah. What did you thought why?
she: I thought, because you're like german, and so they call you "little german"=germany.
me: Haha.
Isn't that sweet? Someone finally thought I'm american. :-)

Now I wanna tell you about this past weekend. We went to Jeff's (the ranch), and Tyler came with us, because we wanted to go hunting.
(Syd says: Hunning. And one day Marina asked her: what is hunning? And Syd was like: Uh, the thing you shoot animals? And Marina goes like: Ohhh; HunTing! :D:D It was funny.)
I was kinda scared, because I didn't want to hunt, like shoot animals, but Jen told me Jordy didn't like it either, and just stayed at the ranch with her.
So my plan was: Staying at the ranch and have a good time with my mom. (We went to walmart, so I had a gooooood time. I love walmart)
Saturday was the walmart day and I slept a lot, because I need sleep I missed during the school days. And saturday night Jordy came, and brought soem friends.
After a while Syd had the idea to go to the field with the kabotas and shoot some cans, and we all went there. It was already dark and so we had to use the light of the Kabotas to see the cans.
Tyler bought his dad's gun and they shot some cans. Than Syd asked me if I wanna shoot, and I said no, because I never did before and I didn't want to hurt someone or do something stupid with a gun in my hands.
But she said she'll teach and help me, so I finally said yes.
And she does.
After I focused this dr.pepper can I shot and I hit it! ;D
Michael had the idea to shot glass bottles and he placed one on a wooden manger, like a football field away from us. Most of us couldn't see it, because it was dark and the light didn't reached that far. But I could, so I shot first.
My arm was shaking and Michael gave his jacket to put the gun on it.
And after like...10000min. focusing this bottle I shot and....surprise...hit it. :D
I shot it into 2 pieces and kept the top one.
They were like freaking out and told me I'm a freaking beast and beat them all. :D

The next day Syd wanted to teach me how to drive a Kabota and so Tyler, Syd and me sat into one. I messed it up the first minute, because I hadn't a feeling for the gas.
Like how much you've to push aso. But it turned out good, and I was driving pretty good for the first time in the forest! :D
Except for the one situation I drove and there was a huge hole and I decided to go to the right, so we won't hit it, but I didn't saw the huge stick on the ground and the Kabota was about to fall to one side. :D
I know, thats not funny, but it was in this moment and it didn't fall.
Tyler drove after me and there came this huge, poissoness spider on our windshield and Syd jumped on my lab and out of the kabota. I was screaming and Tyler finally killed it. :D
But like...10 min. later a second one was inside the windshield and I jumped out of the Kabota, fell down, lying on my belly, with the head down.
Syd jumped out through the back, it looked like she's superman.
And she laughed about my fall the whole time (she's still laughing, when I remember her. :D)
So, it was a great weekend and I'm excited for the next time. :-)

this picture wasn't taken at Jeff's.

My last thing, before I'll go to bed is:
In..3 days is weekend and Thanksgiving break!
YES!
We've a whole week off. :-) I'm so excited. And I think we'll go to Jeff's and see Jordy.
I hope yall are doing great and enjoy life like I do (haha, no one can enjoy life like I do, because I love my life right now [even if I've so much homework and not enough sleep. :D].)
