Yesterday was my first skype-date with my mother, Sydney and me were very exciting how this will be.
- it was good
I thought very much about it, because I was so worry that I'll start crying when I see her. You know, I realy missed her the last few days and thought a lot about this adventure I'm in now.
- I smiled the whole time
During the skype-date Jordi Coe comes home and she said my mom and me are lookimg like twins :D We both laughed a lot.
After this Sydney has to go to work and Jordi, Jennifer, Avery and me went to my first american football game. I was very excited, because this was our schoolteam playing.
Jordan and me were in the near from the band and she meets a lot of people she knows.

The game was good, our team was very good and we already won.
Jordan told me that our team (the La Porte Bulldogs) run out of this bulldog face after the break and they realy did. It was funny.
And sometimes they played a barking dog sound, there was so much spirit. It was awesome.
the break is the "interesting" part, how Jordan told me and the Cheerleader, band and Chatos (this is how the dancer are called) come on the field and perform.
It was good.
After this we went to Jimmy Changas and I tried an ice again, because Avery liked it so much.
I don't. It's so sweet.
Today Jordan, Jennifer and me drove to a woman from YFU. It was a kind of meeting, there were 3 other familys with their students and we talked a lot.
In two weeks is an other and Sydney will come with me.
It was realy interesting, because there was a Japanese and she has a very big culture shock, because america is very different as Japan.
And one guy, he's from Belgium, spoke very worse english. I think this is because of the accent they have.
Well, I enjoyed it and look forward to meet some more in two weeks.
After this trip we went home (after a short stop in a supermarket) and Jordan wants to bake cupcakes.
But before I want to tell you something special.
We drove back home and stops in a seperate "street" next to the highway. There were cash machines and Jennifer gave me 1,50$ and I should throw them into.
I was very confused and asked what this machines are there for.
Here some examples I thought about:
- you can pay and God forgive you, that you drove to fast
- you have to pay for past this area
- they wanna be nice and spend some money for poor children (for. example)
- you pay and the police won't check you
all my ideas are very weird and Jennifer explained it to me (it's very clear, a bit crazy, but that's america)
You have to pay for this "highway", because this is faster, the highway is directly.
but for using it you've to pay for. the street beside isn't that direct and has some traffic lights.
Yeah, it's easy, but still a bit crazy.
But this is america and I start loving it.
In the next days I photograph my house and street, traffic lights 8which are different here) and the trucks. :)
Today it rains the first day (first time american rain!) and probably the last (how Dudley said).
after my daily workout with Sydney :) |
